December Fun

I tried to get a pretty pic of E smiling in front of the Christmas tree in her Chrismas outfit for our card. Of course she did not come close to cracking a smile. The second I took off her dress and laid her on her play mat, she started grinning like crazy. So the first three pics below were on our card. Since we had just sent out birth announcements a couple of months ago, I did not send near as many cards as I usually do. Blame it on the economy...stamps are expensive! So, to all my blogger buddies, Merry Christmas!

Loves getting a bath these days.

Little chicken after her bath

After our pics with Santa. Eli had on a reindeer suit and looked so cute! E, of course, has her hand in her mouth!

Nonna with her girls. Elliotte 4 1/2 months. Leah at 2 1/2 weeks.

Mother/daughter ornament swap at Lu's. Austin, Elliotte and Montgomery were all born within a couple of months of each other.

The kids have doubled since last year! Olivia, Callie, Austin, Elliotte, Montgomery and Clayton.

I thought this pic was funny since Austin was pushing E out of the way and all she cared about was chewing on her hand! You can't really see it, but E has her hand looped around Montgomery's arm (might have to keep an eye on those two).

Santa!

Elliotte gave Santa a big grin! I couldn't make out what is was she asked him for this year. Probably something to chew on...

Elliotte 4 months!

My sweet, little stink is 4 months old today! I can't believe it. She is growing up way too fast and is getting to be so much fun. It is already hard to remember how little she used to be. Sometimes I just want to squeeze her to death b/c she's so cute! She's starting to be a Daddy's girl which thrills Ben to death.

4 month stats:
15# 10oz (90th%)
24.75inches (75th%)
We're going to have a big girl on our hands!

At 4 months Elliotte:
sleeps 7-9 hours at night
takes a 6 oz bottle every 3 hours during the day
rolls from her tummy to her back
enjoys tummy time for longer periods
sleeps on her tummy
sucks on her fingers all the time
notices everything in the room
only cries when she's hungry
babbles and giggles
smiles all the time
is very versatile, sleeps anywhere
has lots of leg and arm rolls!
loves the changing table

She is such a good baby and we can't imagine our lives without her!

My 4 month old little stink!
Such a sweet girl.

Getting to be as big as Buster! Only 5 more pounds to go!

Happy girl!

Sucking on those fingers.

Getting ready for our first attempt at rice cereal last week!

Didn't go so well. Spit out more than she took in! She did much better when we tried it again today.

Lovin on her Hoover. Hoover is a great babysitter while I get ready in the mornings.

Leah Marie Robinson!

Leah Marie Robinson made her grand appearance at 12:06am on November 25, the day before Thanksgiving. She is just precious! She weighed 6# 6oz and was 19.5inches long. She is tiny! I know Clay and Leslie are tired of hearing me say that, but compared to my chunker, she is a feather! We are so excited to have a new addition to our family and hope Elliotte and Leah grow up to be best friends!

Proud Daddy!

Leah Marie

Proud Pops!

I'm a very happy Aunt!

Uncle Kyle now has 2 neices!

Elliotte was excited to meet her cousin!

Little bit of size difference!

Sweet baby!

Happy family!

Pics and a video-Random fun!

Here are some random pics from the past few weeks. Elliotte has met her future husband, been to a hayride, rolled over, tried out the Jumperoo, and is smiling like crazy.

L to R: Makayla Smith, Austin Cummings, Elliotte at Hillsboro's preschool hayride. Montgomery Jenkins was there too but he was asleep.
Elliotte and her future husband, Eli Huffard. They already love each other. Eli loves a larger and older woman!

Future in-laws! Me and Carla with the kiddos. We love the Huffards.

Trying out the Jumperoo. She seems to like it even though she's not interested in the toys. She likes to bounce.

Grinning for the camera.

Big grin!

I'm happy!

This is random. I absolutely LOVE Richard Marx. Mom and Dad took Grandmom to a Vince Gill and friends benefit concert for her b'day. Richard Marx was one of the "friends". I was very jealous when I found out b/c they had backstage passes to meet and greet the artists. Mom knew how upset I would be that I didn't get to meet him, so she took one of the posters and wrote "Hi Beth" on the back and had Richard hold it up after telling him how much I loved him. You can see the return love in his eyes I think!

Here is Elliotte rolling over. She's been doing it for a couple of weeks now, but I just got it on video. I have a hard time keeping her on her tummy to play now.

3 month Sneak Peak

Elliotte had her 3 month pictures with Katie on Tuesday. She did so well and did not fuss one bit. She decided she was going to show off during the shoot and rolled over for the first time! After that, we couldn't keep her on her tummy. She kept doing her new trick. Elliotte did not want to give us good grins and giggles until the end when Katie got the best pic! Enjoy the sneak peak. Can't wait to see all the rest!
Sweet muffin girl! Found the cute hat at Giggles in Brentwood.

Giving us a wink! Total coincidence!

Pic with the pug. They are buddies.

This was literally the final shot. She was happy to be done even though she was great the entire time.

Elliotte 3 months

Elliotte turned 3 months old on Halloween! I can't believe it. She is changing so much every day.

At 3 months she:
Smiles the most when on the changing table
Coos and babbles
Likes to sleep on her stomach
Slept through the night for one week
Sleeps 4-6 hours at night...boo
Only takes a bottle
Has lots of rolls
Misses her mommy when gone
Stays with Nonna while I'm at work
Likes her Jumperoo and swing

Happy 3 month old. Check out those rolls!

Fall Fun!

We've had a good October so far. It's hard to believe Elliotte will be 3 months old on Halloween! Time is flying. She is awake much more these days and is smiling and taking in everything. It's so much fun to watch. I'll save more details for her 3 month post this weekend!

We went to Gentry's Farm for my b'day b/c I wanted to have a family outing. That night E went to my parent's house for an overnight visit. It was great to have a date night and get a little sleep. Not much more sleep b/c I did have to work the next day at 6:15am. Yuck! I think E had a great time with Nonna and Pops. Thank you!

Enjoy the pics!

Chillin with Drennon. I love her laid back pose. Drennon says she's a future cheerleader since she's already posing!
Family pic at Gentry's Farm. Can't wait for next year!
"How tall this fall?" at Gentry's Farm. Hopefully next year she'll be able to stand beside it.

Couldn't resist the tee pee.

Going on an outing to Babies r Us. Lovin on her lovey.

Big yawn!

Elliotte's First Destin Trip

Mom and I took Elliotte down to Destin for a week for her first beach trip. Well, she never made it to the beach, but she knew it was there! Normally, October is nice and mild in Destin. This year, it was super hot and humid. We didn't get Elliotte out during the day except once because it was just too hot for her. This was a much different beach trip with a baby! They will never be the same again. Elliotte did so well. I can't wait to take her back next summer so she can enjoy the sand and water. I just didn't feel comfortable getting her 10 week old skin in the pool water or taking her out in the hot sun. There's plenty of time for that next year. She was great in the car and only fussed a little. I was worried about the car ride, but she surprised me. Mom and I took turns sitting in the back with her to make sure she was as comfortable as possible being strapped in an uncomfortable seat. We only made it out to eat once, and Elliotte was great again. The staff at Bonefish even commented on how well she did. Shopping was a different story...
Enjoy the pics!
Playing on the floor in the condo. She found a friend in the mirror. Check out her rolls!
Swinging outside on the balcony.

Waking up happy from a nap.

Going strolling in her sun hat.

Standing up. Elliotte is loving using her legs. She is very strong!

Out to eat at Bonefish Grill.

Bathing beauty! You can see she was very excited to be at the pool.
She was there all of 15 minutes.

Matching pink swimwear!

Claire and Olivia drove over from Gulf Shores. They were there for Olivia's fall break. We went to eat at Pompano Joe's and swam in the pool.

Nonna, Elliotte, and me.

Olivia and baby Elliotte. Can't believe she's 6 and in first grade! We made Olivia tell us things only first graders know to prove she was that old!

Aunt C and Elliotte.

New Job

Many of you already know that I have accepted a new position with St. Thomas Health Services. I will no longer be working on the Oncology floor at Baptist as of the first week of November. I will be the System Educator for St. T, Baptist and MTMC in Murfreesboro. I have really been wanting to use my MSN degree, and now I'm getting to do it! I will be in charge of the Nurse Residency program, some training for the unit clerks and patient care techs, the Explorer program for high school students interested in health care careers, and will be a Cerner superuser (our computer charting system). It's a big job, but I'm excited about it. I wasn't really looking to be working quite so much, but this kind of happened at just the right time, so I took it as a sign that this was for me. I prayed that I would not be offered the position unless I was supposed to take it. I'll be working 40 hours over 4 days, so I'll have one day off each week to be with Elliotte and teach the lab at Belmont. Not sure where my office will be yet (either St. T or Baptist), but I'll be working at all three hospitals. I have the option of doing some work from home if I'm going to have an office day. I was told that there probably would not be many of those days. :( So, I'm about to start a new journey and am nervous and excited. My sweet baby is only 11 weeks old but will be staying with her Nonna while I work. Hopefully the transition will be smooth with as few tears (from me) as possible. Thanks for all the encouragement and prayers as I interviewed for this job! Now I need some more as I start the job...
